Bubbles

These are the spheres that rise
multi-coloured
from my mind,
effervescence bubbling
from ocean depths.
Laughter and tears,
profundity
and sudden clarity,
fizz to the surface,
burst all over my brain.
I reach out to hold them
but they are gone,
bubbles on the breeze.
